Podcast Roundup

First off, can we talk about this weather for a second? Today is totally a day for curling up with a blanket and a good cup of coffee.

Maybe I’m just behind, but it feels like this is the year of the podcast. Anyone else notice this trend? I mentioned in my last post that I have a commute that allows time for listening, and it’s really made my drive a lot more enjoyable!

Here are a few that I’ve really been digging lately:

Young House Love has a Podcast

I could listen to these guys all day everyday. They’re a husband and wife duo who make a living by blogging and renovating homes. They recently purchased two beach houses to renovate, so a lot of their podcast focuses on the projects that they’re doing there. John and Sherry are the kind of people who feel like they could be your friends IRL, you know what I mean? Anyone passing me on my drive that happens to look in my window probably thinks I’m crazy because they make me laugh out loud several times in every episode.

Dirty John

If true crime is your thing, I would definitely recommend giving this 6 part podcast a listen. Think 20/20, Investigation Discovery…that kind of thing. I binged it in less than a week. I don’t want to give too much away, but it basically tells the story of a women who fell in love with a con artist. There’s love, deceit, and death — all the makings of a great drama. Oh, and apparently Dirty John will be coming to tv, too! Bravo picked it up. Exciting!

How I Built This with Guy Raz

If you like the show Shark Tank, and just generally feeling inspired, you’ll like this one. Guy interviews entrepreneurs like Kendra Scott, Ben Cohen And Jerry Greenfield from Ben and Jerry’s, and real estate mogul and venture capitalist Barbra Corcoran (you know her from Shark Tank!). Each episode is so inspiring because you get to see how each individual got their start. So many of them had very humble beginnings, and its really fun to follow along from their business starting in a spare bedroom to growing into a multimillion dollar entity.

Let me know what your favorites are!
